Standing in Prayer
Get your preacher head out of your way.
Get what you’ve learned in your head, out of your way.
And be like a child every time, always ready to learn. Always ready to be led in a fresh way. Always ready to pray in tongues in a way you haven’t, that’s one way you practice that. Is by praying in tongues like the first time where you don’t know. You said, well how do you pray in tongues? Do you remember that? Somebody said, well you follow the Holy Spirit. What do you mean you follow the Holy Spirit? What’s it sound like? I don’t know how you learn that! You don’t learn it, you follow! You do that same thing in tongues right now, don’t try to pray in tongues like you always do. Look for a different flow, look for a different unction, look for a different sound, look for a different expression, I don’t try to make one up but watch, “I will station myself on my post of observation and watch to see what He will say within me. And what answer I am to make as His mouth piece.” It is not all just paragraphs and sentences. Sometimes the answer to make is a cry out. Sometimes the answer to make is silence. Sometimes it’s silence and stillness, sometimes it’s silence and yearning, sometimes it’s silent crying, sometimes it is a silent determination, sometimes it’s a silent standing in who you are. Look at all the ways we just named in being silent. Have you ever communicated without saying a word? Mothers have... we are equipped… Sometimes that’s the place you take in prayer. Having done all, didn’t He say it, having done all to stand! Sometimes we lose our place by just talking too much. Just standing!
That doesn’t mean anything, unless there’s faith behind it. If there’s faith in this stance you just take, the devil can feel you, circumstances can feel you. Why, it’s faith. But it’s faith in a place in prayer, in His presence; it’s coming out of Him in you. It’s not you, it’s Him in You. We find those places by watching to see what answer He will make – we will make within us – He will make within us as His mouthpiece. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. Bless the Lord, Bless the Lord. Thank You, Jesus." (Pastor Terri)

RUN REVELATIONS: Foundation of Success
The foundation!
Matthew 7:24-27 (NIV): The Wise and Foolish Builders
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
This passage highlights the importance of having a solid foundation. Hearing the words of God and putting them into practice is wise because it enables you to prosper in that thing. You will not fail because what you are building will not fall! As Jesus spoke, "these words of mine" or "the Word of God", is the starting point in every successful endeavor. And the building process is just that, a process that takes consistent practice. Sometimes it seems that "these words of mine" are hidden treasures that just show up and are revealed. However, other times they can be hidden treasures awaiting a hunter but wanting to be found. But they are for anyone and everyone who is listening, who is waiting, who is seeking, "everyone who hears".
"Every person that is listening to the Word that God is speaking and puts that Word into action is wise because they will build their temple on the rock of revelation, which never fails, falls or fades" (AST - Adam Slater Translation).
This is revelation: Consistency is the source of power that will change any situation. But consistency in what? Hearing and living out the words that God speaks. We need to Word Up! Fill yourself with the word which pertains to your situation, hearing "the words of mine" and abiding in those words, which lead to truth and bring complete freedom. However, please do not misunderstand, I am not just saying, "read more Bible". God is a living speaking Spirit. Abiding in the Word of God is essential but limiting God to just the biblical text is also incomplete. Abiding in the words that God speaks, tuning into God's voice and allowing the Good Teacher to instruct, lead, guide, and show you the way to consistently go. God can speak to you through a book, music, dance, silence, family, friends, nature, and countless other avenues. Hearing His voice is truth revealed that will always bring inner peace and be in perfect alignment with the Bible itself. It is our duty to hear the truth (from whichever avenue) and abide in that truth through a consistent advancing practice.
Listen, learn and then launch into the word and direction He is showing you.
In my next post, I will share the first Word that the Lord revealed to me that has led to prospering in my spirit, soul and body....
RUN REVELATIONS: FOUNDATION of SUCCESS
For a while now I have wanted to share the motivation behind my success in consistently running and in the process losing close to 20 lbs.

Overcoming with Joy
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”
For a moment climb on board the choo choo train and journey with me through this “train” of thinking.
I am in the process of training for a half-marathon. So, the other day I started to incorporate longer distances to my running regime to prepare for the upcoming race. It was a beautiful morning because the rain was not pouring and the sun wasn’t scorching. The air was fresh and the rural roads were peaceful and quiet. During a portion of my run the wind began to pick up and was strongly coming against me. I began to think about Jesus and how he calmed the storms, how on this earth he had authority over nature and how he has given believers this same authority from the Father to do His works and even greater works. So as I continued to run, I became more and more annoyed by the constant, opposing wind. Having a competitive nature, I want to have a favorable time on my distance run to measure how my running is progressing. Furthermore, running isn’t the funnest activity on the best of days for me, so on this purpose driven, peaceful morning, I wanted to enjoy a freeing, relaxing run as much as possible.
Again, I begin to think of Jesus. Should I command the wind to cease? Should I practice my faith? Use my authority? Why can’t the wind be behind me for once? After I pondered these questions, my mind was quieted and I began to listen. Then I had a new thought. What if the opposing wind isn’t actually a hindrance that is against me? What if God has ordained it in this moment as a help? But, Lord, how could running into a robust wind on a peaceful morning be helping me? It’s a nuisance, it’s annoying, it’s uncomfortable and my aim is to be quick.
In that moment, with this new thought, I was granted a new perspective. The wind against me is a help because training to run against it can only make me stronger. [New mindset]. Now not only was the wind present to help strengthen me mentally and physically as I run against it, this opposing wind had now turned into a joy. I am no longer experiencing the strong wind as an enemy but as an opposing force for my benefit. I can now take great delight in this growth opportunity, I am rejoicing in the Lord for the wind that is making me stronger. As I was running, I was laughing out loud and I was full of joy because the once spurned wind, has now turned into a welcomed opposition. All things work together for my good because He ALWAYS causes us to triumph.
Could it be that the challenges that we are currently encountering in this life are not there to hinder our lives but to help us? Is it possible that continuing to evaluate our thinking patterns and challenge our attitudes can actually change our lives, causing less stress? We should be filled with an overwhelming sense of joy and gratitude when faced with moments that challenge us to grow and improve personally.
Friends, I challenge you to persevere and find the good within each moment.
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

No Shortcuts!
Today I went on my first rain run. I have always been a fair weather everything, however in my pursuit to fight through the elements of life, I decided to embrace the pouring rain and RUN.
Revelation of the Day: No Shortcuts!
In this life we will have troubles and oppositions, however, in Christ, we are created to be more than conquerors. During a run and in life there are many roads we can choose to travel and along the way there are a number of short cuts we can take.
Today I heard Him say, “Do not take shortcuts”. Most of the time shortcuts can be helpful... they save us some time and make things easier. However, many times (without noticing) shortcuts can leave us lack lustered and lazy. We need to embrace the difficult paths us much as the steady trails. When we consciously decide not to take shortcuts in life, we are embracing the challenge and equipping ourselves for those difficult days that require diligence and endurance.
As we train for whatever it is we're called to do, Do not take shortcuts! Shortcuts lead to bad habits that produce mediocrity. Fight through the tempting shortcut cravings and embrace each step along the way because we are destined for greatness. Training in excellence produces excellence.
“More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” (Romans 5:3-5)

ReThink Your Tears
ReThink Your Tears
Luke 14:33-35 (New International Version)
“In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out.”
"He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
The other day as I wiped the tears away from my daughters eyes and tasted it, I was reminded about the saltiness of a tear. Usually when we hear the word tears, we think sorrow or sadness, however it is easy to forget those times where we laugh so hard that we cry uncontrollably. Tears represent extreme sorrow, as well as intense joy.
I have been forced to rethink this scripture. Maybe a little abstractive or even a bit of a stretch, however to be a disciple of Christ, we are called to give up everything, give up self. Our hearts should be broken, for that which breaks the Fathers heart. And be filled with passionate joy, when the Father laughs.
Is the key to remaining “salty” being vulnerable, passionate and affectionate with yourself and others? Do the tears we shed show the world that we aren’t dead? We aren’t defeated or destroyed, but here to help each other fill that deep void? Do your fears bring reluctance to crying meaningful tears?
Have the moments gone a waste , because of the tears we’re scared to face & taste? Don’t lose your saltiness because it cannot become salty again.
