1) AGAPE

God is all over me, because I am all over Him.... I am in HOT pursuit of Truth. Truth that brings life transformation... not truth to get a formula or to have new knowledge...truth that awakens the perfected reality within us all.

Today - AGAPE Love has exalted itself as the Truth.
Agape Love is the greatest Love. God is Love. God is Agape.
In describing Agape, one can spend eternity defining, addressing and identifying the lengths, depths, width and heights of His love. There is only one God, from whom ALL things came and for whom we live (2 Cor 8:6).

I am reminded today of this GREATER LOVE. Simply put as unconditional love.

Examine yourself whether or not you are acting & reacting from this place of unconditional love. Are you willing to love for love's sake? In the midst of all the emotional toil (anger, frustration, pain), Agape SUPERSEDES (supper-seeds) feelings and emotions and ACTS from a place of GRACE. It is a greater love. A love that is in each person's heart (spirit) and a love that conquers pain, strife and fear.

CHOOSE AGAPE
Each & Every Day.

In the way we are hearing - filter it through Agape.
In the way we are speaking - speak with Agape.
In the way we are thinking - think Agape.
In the way we are perceiving - perceiving through Agape.
The way that we are living - live in Agape!

As soon as we put a condition on our love for ourselves and for another, we are falsifying love. When we say, "I love you BUT..." We have just put a condition on our love and that condition is filled with bondage and not Agape.

Agape has the freedom to love and it perceives the best in ourselves and others. I does not put expectations on others, it just IS.

Is freeing. Is empowering. Is True.

Receive Life as Agape Love and act/react from that place of grace.

Standing in Prayer

"You have to respond! You have to be quick to respond!

Get your preacher head out of your way.

Get what you’ve learned in your head, out of your way.

And be like a child every time, always ready to learn. Always ready to be led in a fresh way. Always ready to pray in tongues in a way you haven’t, that’s one way you practice that. Is by praying in tongues like the first time where you don’t know. You said, well how do you pray in tongues? Do you remember that? Somebody said, well you follow the Holy Spirit. What do you mean you follow the Holy Spirit? What’s it sound like? I don’t know how you learn that! You don’t learn it, you follow! You do that same thing in tongues right now, don’t try to pray in tongues like you always do. Look for a different flow, look for a different unction, look for a different sound, look for a different expression, I don’t try to make one up but watch, “I will station myself on my post of observation and watch to see what He will say within me. And what answer I am to make as His mouth piece.” It is not all just paragraphs and sentences. Sometimes the answer to make is a cry out. Sometimes the answer to make is silence. Sometimes it’s silence and stillness, sometimes it’s silence and yearning, sometimes it’s silent crying, sometimes it is a silent determination, sometimes it’s a silent standing in who you are. Look at all the ways we just named in being silent. Have you ever communicated without saying a word? Mothers have... we are equipped… Sometimes that’s the place you take in prayer. Having done all, didn’t He say it, having done all to stand! Sometimes we lose our place by just talking too much. Just standing!

That doesn’t mean anything, unless there’s faith behind it. If there’s faith in this stance you just take, the devil can feel you, circumstances can feel you. Why, it’s faith. But it’s faith in a place in prayer, in His presence; it’s coming out of Him in you. It’s not you, it’s Him in You. We find those places by watching to see what answer He will make – we will make within us – He will make within us as His mouthpiece. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. Bless the Lord, Bless the Lord. Thank You, Jesus." (Pastor Terri)

RUN REVELATIONS: Foundation of Success

Word Up: Lesson 1

What is the important part in building a sturdy new home or temple or any kind of structure?
The foundation!

Matthew 7:24-27 (NIV): The Wise and Foolish Builders

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

This passage highlights the importance of having a solid foundation. Hearing the words of God and putting them into practice is wise because it enables you to prosper in that thing. You will not fail because what you are building will not fall! As Jesus spoke, "these words of mine" or "the Word of God", is the starting point in every successful endeavor. And the building process is just that, a process that takes consistent practice. Sometimes it seems that "these words of mine" are hidden treasures that just show up and are revealed. However, other times they can be hidden treasures awaiting a hunter but wanting to be found. But they are for anyone and everyone who is listening, who is waiting, who is seeking, "everyone who hears".

"Every person that is listening to the Word that God is speaking and puts that Word into action is wise because they will build their temple on the rock of revelation, which never fails, falls or fades" (AST - Adam Slater Translation).

FIRST FOUNDATION

The rock of revelation that lit an everlasting fire within me was spoken through John 8:31-32. Many of us have heard this scripture before, "Then you will know the truth and the truth shall set you free". Although this is not incorrect, it is definitely incomplete. How many times in this life have we known what to do, but didn't do it, resulting in no change and remaining in the same bondage. Knowing the truth of a matter is good but it does not change a situation if it is not acted upon. An obese person can know the truth about how to lose weight, however if they don't start changing their daily routines of how they eat and what they are doing, that person remains fat. In John 8:31-32 Jesus says, "If you ABIDE in my word [hold fast to My teachings and live in accordance with them], you are truly My disciples. And you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free" (AMP). The word abide comes from the Greek word menō, this means to continue, to remain, to sojourn, not to depart -to continue to be present or to be held, kept, continually. There is an overwhelming indication of consistency. When you are consistent in doing his teaching, you are truly his disciples (being disciplined by love to reveal his glory). THEN, you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free! It is consistency that holds the power to every breakthrough. If I want to be successful in life, be successful in my body, then I need to be consistent in what I know is the truth (abiding in the wisdom I hear from God) and that truth will bring freedom.

This is revelation: Consistency is the source of power that will change any situation. But consistency in what? Hearing and living out the words that God speaks. We need to Word Up! Fill yourself with the word which pertains to your situation, hearing "the words of mine" and abiding in those words, which lead to truth and bring complete freedom. However, please do not misunderstand, I am not just saying, "read more Bible". God is a living speaking Spirit. Abiding in the Word of God is essential but limiting God to just the biblical text is also incomplete. Abiding in the words that God speaks, tuning into God's voice and allowing the Good Teacher to instruct, lead, guide, and show you the way to consistently go. God can speak to you through a book, music, dance, silence, family, friends, nature, and countless other avenues. Hearing His voice is truth revealed that will always bring inner peace and be in perfect alignment with the Bible itself. It is our duty to hear the truth (from whichever avenue) and abide in that truth through a consistent advancing practice.

Listen, learn and then launch into the word and direction He is showing you.

In my next post, I will share the first Word that the Lord revealed to me that has led to prospering in my spirit, soul and body....

RUN REVELATIONS: FOUNDATION of SUCCESS

BACKGROUND: CALLED TO RUN

For a while now I have wanted to share the motivation behind my success in consistently running and in the process losing close to 20 lbs.

A Seed Planted
It all started a couple years ago with a conversation surrounding P90X. The revelation sprung out of me in this conversation when I said, "if you do anything for 90 days straight you will see results! You could run for 90 days get results." When I initially spoke this I did not recognize the power that had been released. The seed was planted but it did not take root right away.

I don't know what it is, in our lives that we feel so busy, lazy and bogged down with stuff. The last thing we have time for is to take care of ourselves. We are too busy picking up after kids, getting another meal on the table, going to work, changing diapers, getting this and doing that, but not taking that time to edify ourselves... However, whatsoever you truly DESIRE you can have (or create). The issue is DESIRE, not time or lack thereof.

Another seed planted:
Speaking with another friend from Calgary, he told me about a book that he had recently read entitled, Born to Run. This novel is based on a true story, and it not only fueled the fire of my desire to be active, it confirmed the means by which I was called to train. We are all born to run, and run I shall.

Jesus our Wisdom

KC Inspirations: Prayer 4 Wisdom ~ Colossians 1

Our heavenly Father desires for you to know His will in every area of your life. Proverbs 20:27 says, "The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly." God will enlighten you to know His will through your own spirit as you spend time meditating in His Word and in prayer.
All of the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hid in Christ Jesus according to Colossians 2:3. The wisdom of God is hid for you, not from you. Wisdom has been dwelling in your spirit through Jesus Christ since you were born of God, however, it must be drawn out (Proverbs 20:5). We must be led by the Spirit of God.
The Apostle Paul prayed the following prayer for the church at Colosse. I am releasing our faith in the same prayer for you:
That you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That you might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which has made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Colossians 1:9-13).
Jesus has been made unto you wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:30).

Sincerely yours,

KC

“Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in YOUR minds because of our evil behavior... now he has reconciled you...holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation - if you continue in your faith...”

Overcoming with Joy

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”
All Aboard!!

For a moment climb on board the choo choo train and journey with me through this “train” of thinking.

I am in the process of training for a half-marathon. So, the other day I started to incorporate longer distances to my running regime to prepare for the upcoming race.
It was a beautiful morning because the rain was not pouring and the sun wasn’t scorching. The air was fresh and the rural roads were peaceful and quiet. During a portion of my run the wind began to pick up and was strongly coming against me. I began to think about Jesus and how he calmed the storms, how on this earth he had authority over nature and how he has given believers this same authority from the Father to do His works and even greater works. So as I continued to run, I became more and more annoyed by the constant, opposing wind. Having a competitive nature, I want to have a favorable time on my distance run to measure how my running is progressing. Furthermore, running isn’t the funnest activity on the best of days for me, so on this purpose driven, peaceful morning, I wanted to enjoy a freeing, relaxing run as much as possible.
Again, I begin to think of Jesus. Should I command the wind to cease? Should I practice my faith? Use my authority? Why can’t the wind be behind me for once? After I pondered these questions, my mind was quieted and I began to listen. Then I had a new thought. What if the opposing wind isn’t actually a hindrance that is against me? What if God has ordained it in this moment as a help? But, Lord, how could running into a robust wind on a peaceful morning be helping me? It’s a nuisance, it’s annoying, it’s uncomfortable and my aim is to be quick.

In that moment, with this new thought, I was granted a new perspective. The wind against me is a help because training to run against it can only make me stronger. [New mindset]. Now not only was the wind present to help strengthen me mentally and physically as I run against it, this opposing wind had now turned into a joy. I am no longer experiencing the strong wind as an enemy but as an opposing force for my benefit. I can now take great delight in this growth opportunity, I am rejoicing in the Lord for the wind that is making me stronger. As I was running, I was laughing out loud and I was full of joy because the once spurned wind, has now turned into a welcomed opposition. All things work together for my good because He ALWAYS causes us to triumph.

Could it be that the challenges that we are currently encountering in this life are not there to hinder our lives but to help us? Is it possible that continuing to evaluate our thinking patterns and challenge our attitudes can actually change our lives, causing less stress? We should be filled with an overwhelming sense of joy and gratitude when faced with moments that challenge us to grow and improve personally.

Friends, I challenge you to persevere and find the good within each moment.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

No Shortcuts!

2011-05-02

Today I went on my first rain run. I have always been a fair weather everything, however in my pursuit to fight through the elements of life, I decided to embrace the pouring rain and RUN.

Revelation of the Day: No Shortcuts!

In this life we will have troubles and oppositions, however, in Christ, we are created to be more than conquerors. During a run and in life there are many roads we can choose to travel and along the way there are a number of short cuts we can take.

Today I heard Him say, “Do not take shortcuts”. Most of the time shortcuts can be helpful... they save us some time and make things easier. However, many times (without noticing) shortcuts can leave us lack lustered and lazy. We need to embrace the difficult paths us much as the steady trails. When we consciously decide not to take shortcuts in life, we are embracing the challenge and equipping ourselves for those difficult days that require diligence and endurance.

As we train for whatever it is we're called to do, Do not take shortcuts! Shortcuts lead to bad habits that produce mediocrity. Fight through the tempting shortcut cravings and embrace each step along the way because we are destined for greatness.
Training in excellence produces excellence.

“More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.” (Romans 5:3-5)

“...in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

ReThink Your Tears

ReThink Your Tears

Luke 14:33-35 (New International Version)

“In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. "Salt is good, but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure pile; it is thrown out.”

"He who has ears to hear, let him hear."

The other day as I wiped the tears away from my daughters eyes and tasted it, I was reminded about the saltiness of a tear. Usually when we hear the word tears, we think sorrow or sadness, however it is easy to forget those times where we laugh so hard that we cry uncontrollably. Tears represent extreme sorrow, as well as intense joy.

I have been forced to rethink this scripture. Maybe a little abstractive or even a bit of a stretch, however to be a disciple of Christ, we are called to give up everything, give up self. Our hearts should be broken, for that which breaks the Fathers heart. And be filled with passionate joy, when the Father laughs.

Is the key to remaining “salty” being vulnerable, passionate and affectionate with yourself and others? Do the tears we shed show the world that we aren’t dead? We aren’t defeated or destroyed, but here to help each other fill that deep void? Do your fears bring reluctance to crying meaningful tears?

Have the moments gone a waste , because of the tears we’re scared to face & taste? Don’t lose your saltiness because it cannot become salty again.

The Biggest Loser: The Contradiction of Society

The Biggest Loser. aka The "fatty show", the man "titty show". People love to watch this TV show. A show about obese people baring it all on TV to win money, to lose weight, and to cheer each other on. Now that's entertainment. A man boob here and a man boob there.

Should this really be a TV show? Is not the entire point of the show to be active? To get off the couch? But week after week, millions of people tune in, to sit on their couch, maybe grab a nice refreshing soda, oh, hey, a bag chips will do and maybe some chocolate too. And all that's left to do, is watch "reality". Watch a show that is probing you to not watch it at all. To stop watching TV, get off the couch and DO. And by do I don't mean start eating crap. It is so astounding. Oh, this show is motivating alright, motivating to watch next week and do it (the contradiction) again and again.

I think the most productive and honest remedy for this contradiction is, if some how, you had to plug your own scale into the TV each week and see what kind of loser you are!

The Biggest Loser or a Big Loser.

Getter Done!

There is a saying that is becoming more popular, it is, "Getter Done!"

Too often, too much, too many times we pass the buck. Put it off. Leave the Dish in the Sink. Don't take the time or put in the effort, or even take the initiative. We are Sheep. Dumb, pathetic, simple, silly, stupid sheep. The lesson here is, Don't just follow, Do. Lead. Do. Getter Done. Have some fun.

The love element of humanity is slowly being taken out of speedy society. Where's the Care? Who Cares! Life is turning into a time trial, you are just a number, a target to hit, a quick something or someone to process. Getter Done. It's time to run.

Ta-Ta To Meats

Ta-Ta to Bacon: You greasy pig that tastes so good. I loved how you accompanied eggs and even a hash brown. You tasty greasy pig, you will be missed.

Ta-Ta to Ham: You are a thick pig. You were good on a sandwich with some swiss, but you will be easily replaced.

Ta-Ta to Ginger Beef: You are China's finest, even though you were founded in Calgary, Alberta. I will miss you. You changed "Chinese food" in Canada (which is not really Chinese food at all) forever. You make the Caucasian feel ethnic. Ginger Beef, you are a rare treasure, it is so hard to find a premier you, but when you do, you stay faithful to that Chinese restaurant. It's all because of you ginger beef. You are Chinese Food, you complete any rice dish. Us "whities" thank you.

Ta-Ta to Hot Dogs: Combination meat, mystery meat, i will miss your convenience. You were a King in elementary school, you even had a day named after you. But I now know better, you are easy to prepare and fairly tasty. You truly have no real nutrients. You still are deceiving many.

Good-Bye.

Ramble2: Why Divorce? Sex on Fire!

There are so many situations and so many reasons why married couples divorce. Sexual Immorality, Money, Abuse. However, these many reasons and every unique situation stems from the same vine. This vine is selfishness.

Divorce surrounds us all. Much like a cancer, if it hasn’t affected you personally, it has affected many close friends or relatives. Divorce is a word that is consumed by fear. So many people are scared of marriage ("now a days"), scared of commitment, scared of getting hurt, scared of being vulnerable. Scared & Fearful of losing self, exposing self, and sharing self. Committing to a union & partnership that requires compromise, which equates to less of self. This breeds fear because life is all about self. It’s all about me, my wants, my needs, my happiness, in my timing in this nanosecond new world. I want it now, more, better, faster and with variety. Are we so deceived? We are so deceived! Deception is livin’ large these days. Deception is the Prince of the World.

So why divorce? Obviously some one's needs are not being met and if 1's needs are not being met, then 2's needs are probably being failed as well. The major causes of divorce are sex and money. In so many cases when a couple divorces, there is a third party involved and waiting, a he or a she or the money. Needs are not being met, one way or another. It’s all about me and mine.

Now as a man, writing from a man’s perspective, it's no secret, the majority of men live for sex. That is not our only need or desire, but it is a major one. And just like a women’s major need is emotional intimacy and that also needs to be fulfilled. So, man + penis =sex & women + emotionally satisfied = sex. However, in saying all that, this is what I really want to say…

In marriage, sex can not be neglected. It is man's central need. I'm not just talking about sex out of obligation or "lazy sex" (lay on your back and penetrate a hole). I'm talking about getting back to the initial "honeymoon" phase but better and bolder. Renewing and restoring the initial passion, the virginal obsession, steamy fantasies and youthful lusts. Divorce happens because sex runs dry, becomes routine, a task or is lost all together. Somewhere, somehow the adventure and variety go missing and that loss leads to a lost marriage. Someone in the relationship moves into a emotional or sexual affair to fill the void and to feel wanted, valued, desired, relieved, passion, danger, excited, and a "rush" of deliverance. For married couples it is so easy to bump sex down the priority list. We have a lot of commitments to fulfill. We got the kids, the job, the hobbies, we're tired and lazy. The needs of "the first love" (husband and wife union) are lacking, puttin' off, forgotten and left-over. But unlike pizza and lasagna, marriage don't taste as good left over. It's easy to say tomorrow, or later and then it just becomes a thought of the past. We must not let the fire go out. Marriage is worth it, and baby it's time for a poke and a stoke to fan this passion into a burning flame.

Some days things will get in the way, but it is time to seize the day. Be creative, be invested, be a giver and you will receive. Surrender to each other's desires, needs and fantasies.

Don't allow sex to tumble down your priority list, or one day a successful marriage will be missed.

My wife, I desire you more today then ever before. You are so beautiful in character and appearance. The way you mother our child is so amazing to me. You are even sexier now then when we first met. I am truly blessed to have you as a best-friend, a beautiful wife, a gifted mother, and a divine lover.

Rend by: Jimmy Needham

An amazing Song. A great album. A good artist.

You’ve been tarnished
And you’ve been stained
And all the varnish you’ve used to cover up with is peeling away

Yet even now, return to me with nothing less
Than your wounded, broken heart
And cling to Me, your gracious King
Be shattered glass of empty jars and rend
Rend, rend, rend
Rend your hearts

You’ve been tarnished
And you’ve been stained
And all the varnish you’ve used to cover up with is peeling away

I don’t need a grand display
Show me that your heart has changed
I don’t need a show
Only just to know your own heart breaks

LOVE is a Strong Word

What can I do for God? What can I do for others? Sound like the great commandment of love? Well those are the two basic questions that we need to ask ourselves. Today, I am being led into a direction that is a little uncomfortable. One that requires desire and disciple which leads to delight and needs to be filled with complete faith as I remain committed to prayer. As I read my devotional today, a spark was being re-lite in my heart and the fuel was being poured on. And my hope is that a fire will burn so bright that others will see the light.

My desire is for my many "unsaved", secular, worldly, work-during-the-day-drunk-at-night friends to come into the light, the truth. To come to the realization that there is a living God who came to the earth He created and died so they can truly live. So they can have a hope, a purpose, and come to realize their divine plan.

So my conviction is to pray for three of my closest friends for 30 days, and truly believe for fruitful results. Conversations that matter. Ultimately for the Salvation for their souls. The passage below gives great revelation on how to specifically pray for this Salvation to become a reality.

"You see, in spite of the fact that most all unbelievers who have purposely refused to receive Jesus as Lord think they've made that decision of their own free will, the truth is, they haven't. The Word of God says they've been blinded by Satan. He's blocking their perception of the truth. So their decision hasn't been freely made at all.
That's important for you to grasp. Because through the prayer of intercession, you can interfere with the satanic forces and help take those blinders off! You can also change circumstances with your prayers and help create situations that will bring them in contact with the Lord. You're well within your spiritual rights when you do that.

I prayed with a friend of mine once who'd been praying for his lost brother for years. Jesus said in Matthew 12:29 to first bind the strong man and then enter his house and spoil his goods. So we said, "You spirit blinding the eyes of ______________, you stop what you are doing to keep him out of the kingdom of God. In Jesus' Name, you stop NOW!"
Jesus also said in Matthew 9:38, "Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he will send forth labourers into his harvest." So we prayed, "Lord, send someone to ____________ with the Word of God. You know who he will listen to. We claim _____________ for the kingdom of God. We believe we receive his salvation and deliverance. In faith we praise You for it.""

2 Corinthians 4 states;

1 Therefore, since God in his mercy has given us this new way, we never give up. 2 We reject all shameful deeds and underhanded methods. We don’t try to trick anyone or distort the word of God. We tell the truth before God, and all who are honest know this.
3 If the Good News we preach is hidden behind a veil, it is hidden only from people who are perishing. 4 Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.
5 You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.
7 We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.

God is so Good. My godless friends need a intimate love relationship with our Saviour Jesus. My heart goes out to them for their eternal destiny. Do you have a person in your life that needs the love of God?? I believe we all have at least one person already on our hearts and in our mind that needs our daily prayer for salvation. Who needs to see the light, needs the blinders removed and the saving power of God's living Spirit.

My 30 day challenge to myself and to those who are bold enough to journey for the lost is this: For 30 consecutive days pray specifically for 1 to 3 unsaved family members or close friends. Set aside specific days to sacrifice for them by adding fasting for the powerful results for this loved ones soul. 30 days of commitment, of praise and thanking God for the salvation of their souls. Pray for labours in the harvest to come and bring powerful words of thee abundant life through Jesus Christ the living God. Finally expect a supernatural conversation of confirmation with this loved one that will ignite and encourage your faith through the faithful sacrifice of our prayers offered.

This action will take real faith! For me, when I think about this (in the natural) it is almost impossible and unlikely that I will see a significant transformation in my friends. It seems so far fetched because for so long I have seen their character and know how they live. However, if I diligently pray for them, sacrifice, and exercise my faith, I will boldly expect results. I am believing for fruit-filled conversations about the grace of God.

I believe in God. I believe in the harvest. I believe in the power and the love of God. I believe God answers prayer. I know God responds to diligent sacrifice. I know God can do abundantly more than I can ever expect or imagine. He is MORE than enough. And I know with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!!

I TRUST HIM. HE IS A GOD OF POWER and LOVE.

Will you journey with me? Will you take on this bold challenge?

A Call to the Cross

Yesterday I met a man who was traveling home on a bereavement fare. The grieving man informed me that his Father had passed away. I inquired if it was expected or not. The following story proceeded. My Father, Mother, and Sister went to Dairy Queen in Mission. My mom and sister went forward to the counter to get my father a strawberry milkshake, as he sat at the back of the restaurant by the window. An older man was driving outside into a parking stall, but instead of pressing the brake to park, he stepped on the accelerator and crashed into the DQ sandwiching and killing my father between the truck and the table....
All I could say was "that is awful, I’m sorry for your loss". Although I wanted to say more, wanted to console the man in his grief, wanted to inquire about his family’s beliefs-faith-hope-love, but I was at a loss of words.
What a story though. I couldn't believe it. From the bliss of a strawberry milkshake to the bite of death. Sudden disaster. Life can be taken in seconds or years. I guess when your numbers called it’s time to go.

Death is a reality we all have to face. It’s not a good time - easy - comfortable conversation, but it is a fact and it deserves to be faced. It is the one life experience that we ALL share as living creatures. DEATH! It is The End and it is Definite.

Consider your options. Search your heart. Face the fact that at any given time you will die.

Should we not face this fact daily?
I have never liked to talk about death, never liked funerals much either. I avoid them at all costs. However, in the last week with hearing this tragic story and attending a great funeral service, I have been thinking & facing the big question of death. Now, when I was thinking about updating my *facebook status, I wanted to incorporate death. I want people to think about the end. About something that matters. Something that has eternal consequences (in one way or another). You may assume that (one way or another) is implying Heaven and Hell, which is my truth, but some don't believe in a Heaven and Hell, yet still there is eternal consequences which can also imply your legacy here on earth. (get UNDERSTANDING)
Nonetheless - *Facebook - A.Slater is contemplating death! Probably isn't going to sit well with most viewers. A.Slater is dying and you are too; A.Slater is realizing that at any moment you will die! Not really an uplifting message for the day.

Death needs to be faced. Daily realize that this given day could be your last. Moreover, live today as though it is your last. I am challenged by this revelation and now encouraged by death to awaken life. To truly Live. Live loud and Love hard. The Bible says, "To Live is Christ and to Die is Gain". The Living Spirit of God is slowly revealing the depth of this truth. The CROSS. LOVE. His GRACE. Our Sacrifice. My Faith.

The Holy Bible - It is the message, the truth, the option I choose to live by. The work of Jesus Christ dying on the cross is the ultimate act of LOVE. Through my act of believing in this holy sacrifice, the Grace of God covers my life. Christ now lives in me, I live in Him. I choose to follow the righteous way. The fear of death is conquered. It's not about me, my family or friends. It's about serving a living God and bringing glory to his name - in life or death. A life of balance. (complex math in a simple formula: Adam+Amanda=Balance=Success)

Although death is still a little depressing, we don't need to fear death, face the fact, live and act. Greater is He living in me, then he that is in the world. In Him is Life Abundant. Satan (the princess of death) is a defeated foe because of the Cross. "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (Luke 9:23-24)

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”(Romans 8:28)

The practical way - Live for today, Plan for tomorrow.

"...IN ALL YOUR GETTING, GET UNDERSTANDING" (proverbs 4:7)

Ramble1

We live in a fast paced world, a microwave-fast food society, we want things now, we want things yesterday, We want more, better, faster. If you write a post, then you expect feedback right away. It's now, it's fresh. It's today's thought and tomorrow there will be something new going on, something better, more controversial, more challenging, something better to debate - discuss - distract. Offend you today, befriend you tomorrow, what's it all worth??
Convenience. When did convenience become ruler over the developed world? I guess, convenience is a result of development. But in sight of this much was lost along the way. A microwaved rubber meal, burger on the go = zero nutrients, false favor. Life has become full of filler. There is no self-control. No self-control=RECESSION. Where's the meaning, the worth, the nutrients?
All this rambling gets me no where. It very well could be a pointless ramble about something that equates to nothing, in which no one reads or responds, at least not now, not while it's HOT. These old words, this old thing...is starting to cool down....
